the boy's quilt

this was the first quilt i ever started.

that was about a year and a half ago. 

it got put on the back burner because i didn't like how it was coming out.

i finally figured out the problem: there was no orange in it.

you see, the boy's favorite color in the whole world is orange {if you haven't noticed}

i finally added some in there and voila---it was perfect.

 

the pictures don't do it justice.

i decided to have it quilted in a basic meander stitch and bound it in orange polka dot.

 

the backing was my whole inspiration---a sheet set from target.

 but most importantly, the boy LOVES it and

he feels so special that this quilt is all his.
