so i finally finished a a quilt for me!
and
i'm in love.
i loosely used amy butlers free pattern from her site.
it was my first time paper piecing and i still don't know how i feel about the technique,
but i'm loving the rug inspired color combination!
i used some scrap pieces for the back to mix things up:
and the binding is kaffe fassett:
BeAuTiFuL - LOVE the fabrics!
ReplyDeletesuper cute. bright and cheery - i love it!!
ReplyDeleteYou must start selling these. They are amazing.
ReplyDeletethanks for the sweet compliments! jennifer, do you think? i just don't know if all the time would be worth the price??? :)
ReplyDeleteThat is gorgeous Shay. From what I hear from other quilters, there's no way to get fully reimbursed when you sell a quilt. You'd have to charge hundreds of dollars considering all the time they take to make! Truly a laobr of love... That said, if you do have enough love to go around a ways I would totally buy one from you. Lol.
ReplyDeleteNice, nice! I'd buy and my sister Jennifer is looking for some twin size quilts for her daughters beds. She wants a purple color, but can't find any she likes. We went into a hip fabric store and she feel in love with the idea of a custom made quilt.
ReplyDeleteLOVE love LOVE it! I REALLY want to get started quilting. Do you have any tips or places/books that helped you get started??
ReplyDeleteshay, i read something once that said, "you can, but you won't, so buy this one!" you could TOTALLY sell these! i love them...all. it's so hard to choose cause you keep coming up with amazing ones. fun fabrics and great eye! you would brighten up some rooms that's for sure;)
