we are here

the first sunday in our new home in georgia:

some notes:
*not counting stops for family, it took us 6 days to get here. ugh.
*2 cars, 3 kids.
* yes, my legs are so freakin white
*one of my new goals involves dressing a little more thrifty. both this top and skirt are thrifted.
*are new rental house is perfect for us.
*being without internet for almost a week almost killed me.
*so happy to be setting up a new home, but a little overwhelmed.

carter 3 months

my carter baby turned 3 months on the 5th
{the day after we moved into our new home}
she has been an angel this whole move. we have seriously been on the road for days and days
and staying at hotels and with family, and she has been quite the trooper.
her smiles come aplenty these days
and her chunkiness just keeps getting better!

carter also got her ears pierced while we were in MO at the same place that paisley did.
i love that little feminine touch on my baby girls. she screamed for like 60 seconds, then was done after i fed her. seriously, it was so easy.
 happy 3 months my lovey!

oh, and can't forget a picture of my new shoes that the mister got me for christmas:
love them!

gena's quilt

remember gena?
my old friend who took our fabulous family pictures?
well, as a thank you, i whipped her up a quick quilt.
my last quilt of 2010.
it had to be super simple because i was in the middle of moving,
so i just sewed some chunky strip from my fabric stash.
here it is:

i hope you enjoy snuggling up in this gena!
and once again THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for our beautiful pictures!

*i'll post more family pictures soon!

my little elves

i didn't take enough pictures, but our christmas did prove to be
merry and bright.

i hope yours was too!

the eve of christmas

the stewarts hosted our christmas eve family gathering.

brandon prepared delish prime rib
while we all dug into fabulous appetizers.

then:

the children's imaginations soared as they watched polar express

and the adults indulged in a game of risk
for as long as i can remember, my brothers and dad have played this game every year at christmas.
noel broke tradition this year and bravely took her place at the game table as the first female ever to participate---and she kicked their butts!

me and my double chin snoozed with the babe
(don't judge annette's couches; she's married to the furniture nazi)

it was the perfect evening, filled with food, family, and fun.
this year, christmas was very layed back for our family.
all of this moving and such wiped me out clean. not much energy for anything
extravagant, but santa did come...

ice skating

a couple nights before christmas,
my family attempted a trip to the ice rink.
it was brandon's idea, and although we all ended up with blisters, it was a good one.
in town in MO: us, noel, taylor, and dad. plus the stewarts and momma of course.

annette and cole

 dads and their boys

 reade wilson and carter kristine

check out this hottie skate.
yes ladies, my younger brother is single!

goals

these may be boring, but i have to record them somewhere.

make my bed every morning
have the kitchen clean before going to bed
play with my children more
complete my blog book
feel more like a daughter of god
lose the baby weight...30 lbs to be exact!
lean blog more towards a journal for posterity
have someone over for dinner once a month
follow a budget
be of service more willingly

cheers to these!
