Hotel life

GeoTagged, [N36.59589, E121.89623]

Life has been slow these days. For 18 days to be exact. That's how long we've been living in a hotel. I finally ripped up my carpet and found mold underneath. That's when they moved us to a hotel.

One word.
Miserable.

I love my home. Wherever I've lived, it's been my sanctuary. My comfort zone. My haven. I've lost that, and can hardly function without it. The past three weeks have been emotional. There has been a war between me and my management company. Fix it? Move us? Pay us? Do nothing? I push, they push back HARD! Davids parents were in town for some of this drama which was nice, but now it's just us, trying to live a normal life out of a suitcase and off of fast food (blah)! No sewing, no crafts, no cooking, just laundry, carrots, tangerines and asagio bagels. Until I get more news.....

Wish us luck

Living in a hotel sounds less than ideal, but at least you aren't living with mold for the moment. I can't believe they are doing that to your sweet family. I really hope they come to reality and fix this for you.

I wish I were in that hotel with you eating carrots?! I'm sorry Shay you have to be away from your home for this long. I know that must be very hard, especially with 2 kids!

Want to fly back to MO until all is resolved?????? I can't even imagine - I know how much I hate to be away from home, but under such circumstances - YUCK! We love you - Keep the faith and stand steady sister, you are a fighter!!

Oh Shalynn! I can't imagine anything worse than a moldy house to live in...except landlords that won't fix it! Ugh!!!!

oh shay, I am sooo sorry! Hotels and kids aren't even fun when you are on vacation! They better fix it more quickly and get you into a safe home. I wish we were close, you could totally come and stay with us!!
